16. Professor Robert Callaghan/Yokai – Big Hero 6 (2014)
A scientist driven mad by grief for his lost daughter and obsessed with plotting revenge for the accident that resulted in her apparent death.
Yokai has a strong Kabuki-influenced look and uses swarms of nanobots to manipulate his environment, attack his enemies and to traverse San Fransokyo. His objective is a very personal one and his plot for revenge against the industrialist who recruited his daughter for her fateful mission is as elaborate as it is destined to be foiled by superheroes.
Demise by: Survives his battle against the Big Hero 6 but is arrested and left wracked with guilt over his actions in prison.

15. Prince John – Robin Hood (1973)
The tempestuous, greedy and childish pretender to the English throne.
Beyond the expressive animation, a lot of credit for the memorability of Prince John must go to Peter Ustinov’s man-child performance, throwing the neurotic and flamboyant lion usurper into a number of tantrums and reprisals against his useless underlings.
Demise by: Survives but is humiliated and imprisoned for treason when his brother Richard returns.
14. Assistant Mayor Bellwether – Zootopia (2016)
A seemingly timid elected deputy who masterminds a plot to brand all predators as dangerous criminals.
Bellwether is so evil she would fit quite comfortably into the real world, craftily manipulating racial prejudice and unconscious bias to further her own ends and stay in power. And she would have gotten away with it too if it hadn’t been for that pesky bunny cop and her recording device…
Demise by: Survives but is arrested when her recorded confession of engineering a conspiracy to criminalise carnivores in Zootopia is released.
13. Lady Tremaine – Cinderella (1950)
Lady Tremaine didn’t want a step-daughter, she wanted a slave, and there is no level of degradation she isn’t prepared to put poor Cinderella though to make her and her daughters’ lives a little easier.
Early Disney films more-often-than-not had female antagonists and the Wicked Step-Mother (as she is commonly known) is among the most malicious and benign sources of evil in Disney. Making a child you’re supposed to care for wait on you hand and foot, and delegating all back-breaking housework to her is bad enough, but the emotional abuse and psychological manipulation could do far more lasting damage.
Demise by: Survives to be humiliated along with her daughters by being forced to repeat what they put Cinderella through.
